December 6 - Putting Up the Christmas Tree

We realized after the whirlwind that was Thanksgiving that we were probably the only family left in America who hadn't put up their Christmas Tree by early December. So, we took the plunge on a cold day and put it up and decorated it. It was a ton of fun! Here's some pics!

Liam definitely has the holiday cheer as he gets ready to completely ignore everything we say and with his brother do as much as he can to ruin the entire process, all the while remaining completely cute and thinking he is the biggest help in the world. He gets that from me.

The kids helped assemble the tree. Next year we'll get a real one again (not that this one is imaginary or anything). They did a great job under the tree! Jaeden got cut once, but it is very dangerous working in the arbor business!

An in depth look at a family putting up a tree. Notice the chaos? Yeah, it was this way for hours.

The girls helped put up our nativity sets. They also seem to have grown quite a bit, as they both now tower over the fire place. Must be the egg nog.

Of course, Leam and Logan spent almost the entire time playing in the box we keep the tree in during the rest of the year. Why do we buy them presents again? We could just give them the boxes from the older kids' presents. It was super cute, though!

Finding ornaments and putting them on the tree. It is always fun, and this year there wasn't a single argument about which ornament belonged to who. Well, there was one, but after the traditional "Santa doesn't bring presents to girls who don't want a crocodile ornament" everything was just fine.

Jaeden with a golden boot from the Olympics. It was sports related, so it was Jaeden's favorite.

Decorating the tree. It's funny how my ornaments always end up on the very top. I'm not sure why that is...

Logan helping out as well. All the unbreakable ornaments or all the ornaments we didn't mind breaking (meaning all of Wendi's :) were put at Buddy level. They did pretty well leaving them alone, all though it is hard not to play with them when they include Dora, the Incredibles, Little People, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and so many other favorites.
